Wow! how fast is this year flying in!I can't quite believe it is nearly Halloween already - but with that in mind I decided to make myself a Halloween wreath for the occassion. It did take a wee bit of time to make but I am quite happy with how it looks now - and the big plus point is that the kids really like it and want to put it up - so I hope that means it is ok!!!
All the products used to make it are Stampin' Up! apart from the polystyrene ring! I punched out hundreds.....and I mean hundreds! of 5 star petal flowers in both pumkin pie and tangerine tango cardstock, sprayed them with water and scrunched them to create my covering for my wreath, they were then glued on using a hot glue gun and sponged with cajun craze and basic black ink to give some definition. All the ghosts, bats, spiders and pumpkins were made from a selection of Stampin' Up! punches and were good fun to make, the ever popular top note was added to the inside of my wreath, it was cut in whisper white and sponged with pumkin pie and the sentiment was cut from black cardstock with the sizzix timeless type alphabet, some of the lovley black striped grosgrain was added as a hanger and a matching bow was added to finish it off .
Another plus point for my project is that I was delighted to see that it also fit in with the simply stampin challenge this week which was a colour combo of old olive, cajun craze, whisper white and basic black - i hope you like it as much as the kids did
