Floral treat

How about  a vase of flowers that are everlasting? It would certainly save hubby a small fortune!

I adore the new In colours in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue, they are just so delicious, so to cheer up the corner of my desk I put this little Ikea vase to good use.

I cut various sizes of flowers from the SU exclusive fast flowers die and mixed and matched them, I coloured some kebab skewers with an SU ink pad and spone to make them look more like flower stems, they were added to t he flower heads with sticky strip and voila! an evelasting bouquet!

Sentiment stamped in calypso coral (even the name sounds amazing!) and some of the new style ruffled ribbon in calypso coral was tied around kneck of vase

I'm Bats about You!

Sorry people! - Halloween project again!

I will be one of the Scottish Independant Stampin' Up! demonstrators who have the stand at the Hobbycrafts show at the SECC from Thursday through to Sundaythis week and have had great fun making lots of project to display on our stand - we are going to have a dedicated Halloween corner, along with many other fab projects and themes, covering lots of the new catalogue projects -hence all the projects I have to show you - if you are coming along to the show please pop by and say hello.

This friendly bat was made from the petal cone die and is a shameless case from Stampin' Up!s CEO Shelli Gardiner - she posted this some time ago on her blog So Shelli and I just knew that it would be one I would have to try out - I have sprayed my bat with champagne shimmer mist to add a little sparkle and also used the stripes embossing folder for his wings  - oh and he soes have some Halloween sweeties inside his tummy too!x

Bats and Boo Candy to you!

Can you tell I love Halloween!

Here is a few of Stampin' Up!'s candy wrappers all dressed up for Halloween - the black one on the bottom has been extended to double the length - if you would like to make some of the projects or learn how to extend the use of your die size, then why not come along to one of my classes and let me show you how.

lots of SU products used here, Owl punch, candy wrapper big shot die, various circle punches, oval punch, timeless type SU alphabet , dotted scallop ribbon border punch, DSP  and SU carstock - there is a bit of a knoack in folding the ends of the wrapper but, once you have done i a few times it is so easy - you just need to get the lightbulb moment!

As the simply challenge blog is still on Halloween - I have added these to the challenge too x

Christmas ribbon wreath

From one Holiday to another - this one is for Christmas - I have used the deliciously coloured Cherry Cobbler cardstock for my base card, then cut some whisper white with the top note die, which I then popped back through the big shot with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.  I then sat with a length of ribbon and pleated it into a wreath ( found a tutorial on the net somewhere - when I remember I will post a link - sorry!) I love the dimension this give and can see me making a few of these as Christmas fast approaches, the sentiment is from Contempo Christmas and I just love the font on this stamp, one of my all time favourites - it is stamped in cherry cobbler ink to match the card, cut with the Su oval punch and matted onto the SU decorative label punch

Halloween door wreath

Wow! how fast is this year flying in!I can't quite believe it is nearly Halloween already - but with that in mind I decided to make myself a Halloween wreath for the occassion. It did take a wee bit of time to make but I am quite happy with how it looks now - and the big plus point is that the kids really like it and want to put it up - so I hope that means it is ok!!!

All the products used to make it are Stampin' Up! apart from the polystyrene ring!  I punched out hundreds.....and I mean hundreds! of 5 star petal flowers in both pumkin pie and tangerine tango cardstock, sprayed them with water and scrunched them to create my covering for my wreath, they were then glued on using a hot glue gun and sponged with cajun craze  and basic black ink to give some definition. All the ghosts, bats, spiders and pumpkins were made from a selection of Stampin' Up! punches and were good fun to make, the ever popular top note was added to the inside of my wreath, it was cut in whisper white and sponged with pumkin pie and the sentiment was cut from black cardstock with the sizzix timeless type alphabet, some of the lovley black striped grosgrain was added as a hanger and a matching bow was added to finish it off .

Another plus point for my project is that I was delighted to see that it also fit in with the simply stampin challenge this week which was a colour combo of old olive, cajun craze, whisper white and basic black - i hope you like it as much as the kids did

Fantastic New Catalogue Blog Hop

Well Good morning everyone and welcome to my part of the In Love with Stamping Blog Hop which we are doing to mark the amazing new 2011-12 Idea Book and Catalogue which launched Yesterday, This is a fabulous opportunity to show you some of the samples myself and nearly 40 other demonstrators have been making.

You may have just come across my blog or have hopped over from Jan's blog - she had some great projects to show you and I hope you are enjoying the hop.  If you started here, and you get lost anywhere along the way then you can just check out the complete list of those taking part at the end of this post, as we are all on a loop and would love for you to visit us all.
OK  now to show you my projects - I hope you enjoy them -
First up is this card made using the new Frightful sight designer papers - I love Halloween and am so glad that we got some nice papers, stamp set and rollers to help us enjoy the fun of Halloween - this is an envelope style card which was made from a template, I have used the ever versatile owl punch to make my little ghostie, the oval punch created my pumpkin and the super timeless type big shot alphabet was used to say BOO!
And now here is a little pillow box to match, filled with chocolate pumpkins - sssshh! dont tell the kids!! I had to handcut my little pumpkins face!

Sticking with the Halloween theme , next up is a dracula Top Note box - this was created using one of the fabulous new In colours - Wisteria Wonder and basic black card stock - he was so much fun to create and I love how he turned out - he is a total case from an american  demos blog which I can't remember at the moment, but will check it out and give credit - do you like him?

And for my last project on the blog hop I glammed up a plain boring brown paper lunch bag -
I have gone with papers from the Designer series paper stack in the subtles range, and don't you just love the banner? This is made using one of the fabulous new punches in the new catalogue - the pennant punch - I can see so many uses for this punch and just know it will become a favourite.  A few punches used on this one too - seems to have been a bit of a theme for my projects for this hop!  I have used the pennant punch, the bird punch and the decorative label punch which i have layered my sentiment onto..... and isn't it delicious? - this sentiment is from one of the totally awesome Hostess sets called Happiest Birthday Wishes.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and feel free to leave me a comment - now you need to head on over to  Donna's blog where she has more projects to entice you.

Enjoy!

p.s sorry my photos are a little dark - they were taken very late at night  - I was so busy creating my projects that i had forgotten to photograph them until the dead of night and they are not the brightest!!
