Penny Black Saturday challenge week 134

Been ages since i did any challenges, but as Penny Blacks are one of my all time favourite stamps, i thought i would ease myself into some challenges again by starting with the Penny Black Saturday challenge wk 134  this week it was a buffet choice -never done one of them before, quite ingenious!  You had to pick 4 items from their buffet cart and make a card with your items.

The four items i went for were -  patterened papers, 3 flowers, 3 gems and ribbon.

My papers were all Stampin' Up! and the flowers were handmade with an SU punch and scrunchedwith little flower brads in the centres, image coloured with copics and edges dusted with chalks, corners punche with the new SU scallop edge corner punch, ribbon and 3 gems from my stash and SU sentiment.  Hope it fits the bill xx

This card fits a fewchallenges too-

Anyone for cake?

This is one of my all time favourite stamped images - ittranscends all age groupsaswe all like Birthday and most of us all like cake, and he is such a cheeky little chappie

Image has been coloured with copics and cut out with circle nesties, the dp is MME and cut with SU eyelet border punch, and the lovely grosgrain is  SU regal rose and a few faceted gems from my stash - i have a very dear friends Birthday in the next couple of days so this is going to be winging its way to her -

this little cutie fits a few challenges this week:-

Flowers for you

This tilda stamp is such a mutli use stamp -covers sooooo many occasions  - just love her to bits and totally different depending on the d/p and colours you use . This image was coloured with copics, glittery dotty paper from stash, have aded some diamond dust to the roses - this is like crystal glitter - doesn't show up too well on piccie but sure makes the roses shine when the light hits them, sentiment from retired SU sale-a-baration set and some white grosgraon to finish it off

As i have gone Dotty with this card too - it fits in with the challenge over at

Josh's Christening card

My son David  asked me to make a Christening card for him to give to one of his best friends, Gavin's little baby's Christening.  I decided to go with the ever popular Easel style of card that is around at the moment and this is what i came up with. Sorry fro the poor photos - was taken in a rush as my son was heading out the door - it did look much better in real life - honest!

The mirror card was so shiny that it hasn't taken very well in the piccy- so reflective.   Cuttlebugged white and silver mirri card and edged with MS punch, used diecutter for the bible, cross and the wee ones name, Forever friends stamp coloured with copics and ribbon from stash, all layered onto pale blue card.
