Teacher card

School holidays for our Scottish kiddies started at the end of June - so we are half way there now!

My daughter had a lovely male teacher this year, who seemed to bring out the best in her and all the other kids in the class too!  He made learning fun for them all - and unfortunately for our school he is moving on to pastures new - good luck to him wherever he ends up.  He had the kids learning their geography by bringing in Guitar Hero and having them do a wold tour - inspirational! the kids loved it

With this in mind, it made making his card a lot easier than it might have been!  I always find it difficult to buy for male teachers so incorporated a gift card pocket on the underside of my easel card and that let him choose a gift of his own - used my fabulous Su alphabet for his name and the 'U Rock' which was cut out with my circle punch........................he made a point of coming over to me at the end of school to say he ws delighted with his card and thought it was quite ingenious the way the gift card was hidden..........gold star for me then.....it feels so nice when a plan all comes together!

Mum's Birthday today

It is my lovely Mum's Birthday today -

  HAPPY 65th  BIRTHDAY MUM!!
           from all of us xxxxxx

She eventually decided to retire this year, so lots more crafting time for her! - mind you since she came back her holidays, i think she has baked every day!!  The kids are loving it.......dad is too!!!!
Not going to put her card on here just yet - she might have a sneaky peek on here before i get over to hers! pop back later to see it.  will post my daughters teachers card for you to look at  for now

see you later xx

A vintage get well wish

Hi everyone,
hope your weather is ok, its a bit up and down here, one minutes its rain then the sun comes out!
I made this card for a very dear crafty friend  - she had waited a little while to have a hip op and now she has eventually had it done and is no longer in any pain - hope it all keeps improving Marlene.  Picked the ever popular vintage vogue and used the rock n roll technique  - this must surely go into the new catty when it comes out  in October- it is so poular(and versatile!) I also used some of the fabby rich razzleberry ribbon(and cardstock) too and sentiment from the sincere salutations - this is a set i use almost daily - it covers soooooo many occasions and of course ......my scalloped edge punch

having fun with my butterfly punch!

Been playing around with my punches over the last couple of days,  and these flowers came about purely by accident!  I was punching lots of things out and just sitting them to the side and when i turned and looked again, 2 of the butterflies i had punched were sitting across one another, looked similar to another flower punch i have - but you could make these ones multi layered.  Rolled my sandy speckled roller on them and the centres were from the boho blossoms punch - really liked these when they were done!

items used :-
butterfly punch
very vintage roller
sany specles roller
sincere salutations stanp set
rich razzleberry ink
orchid opulence c/s
ex large bird punch - for the leaves

Mini Post-it note keyring

Great little gift to give away to friends, prospective customers and hostesses -  really simple and quick to make -

 here's how:-
make a wrap with some cardstock, add your post it note inside, punch hole  through the c/s and post it note with  a cropadile  and add a spltr ring to keep it all together - you can decorate the ring it with some lovely co-ordinating ribbons - i've used a punched scallop circle and the flight of the butterfly stamp set - hope you like it!

Dear Friend card

This is a card i made for a challenge a few weeks back, but wasn't able to upload because of camera problems, created my own background by using a couple of stamps and inks, the challenge was based around a sketch - hence the layout - the sentiment is one of my all time favourites, have also used the new rich razzleberry spotty ribbon on this too - aren't the new ribbons just delicious!

Vintage Vogue Gum Wrapper

Hi everyone, made this gum wrapper from just a few scraps and the vintage vogue stamp set and some old olive grosgrain ribbon - this could be adjusted insize to fit any type of gum you like, I wanted a wrap to fit the type of gum that came in a blister pack - certainly gets lots of nice comments when i bring it out  my bag!

oops just noticed - lost one of my flower centres - bet its at the bottom of my bag!

hello strangers

OOPS!  Did you think i had fallen off the edge of the planet?  Sorry - think normal service wil be resumed - with the kids off on school holidays and lots of activites on the go  - life has been a tad hectic! Took the 2 youngers ones to the Lake District for the week and stayed longer than i had originally planned - we had some great fun x I did mange to make  a few bits and pieces that i hope to show you over the next few days.

This is a cd wallet which i have made - great idea for Birthdays and Christmas and a much nicer way to give a cd.  I have used the Crazy for cupcakes set and the Baroque motifs and the eyelet border punch, think i will make a few of these to have on standby!
