Amazing 4 days at Convention

Wow - what an amazing 4 days i had at the 2nd European Stampin' Up Convention in London- oooohh where do i begin to tell you the fun I had!

My fun began with meeting up with the lovely Debbi  and Helen and Gatwick airport on the Thursday lunch time and then a mega thanks has to go to StampingCaz(Caroline) for arranging to collect us from Gatwick - thank you so much - you made it so easy!  Caz dropped off Debbi and Helen at the Croydon Park Hotel and then we continued on to our Hotel, the Hilton Croydon.  It was here that i had the chance to meet up (for the first time!) with my SU mummy - the lovely Jules and all the rest of my teamies. It was a delight to meet up with them all at last, face to face, they were all lovely and so welcoming, so thanks girls for making me feel part of it all!  I also met up with my roomie Claire who i had not met before, so thanks Claire for putting up with me for 4 days - hope it wasn't too unbearable!

We all trotted off to Pizza Hut for an early dinner, which turned out to be a treat from our SU mummy - thanks again Julie, we had lots of fun and 'talking tommy' certainly raised a few laughs!  We returned to our Hotel to join in Monica's pre- convention party- as we are part of Monicas downline were were presented with a delicious bag of goodies - a free stamp set, a lovely little sports watch and the must have sweeties, thanks Monica x We did a couple of M&T's, loads of swopping and mega amounts of chatting before turning in for the night, we had an early start the next day!!

Early breakfast, then onto our buses to head to the amazing AddingtonPalace, where we were met by our lovley  CEO Shelli Gardiner - what a delight she is!

We had to register and queue up for our Convention bags - can you imagine the noise of almost 300 eager and excited ladies waiting in line!! OOOh the fun of all the swopping - it got rather frenzied at times!  We had some informative classes and the chance to check out memento mall before lunch - the goodies were beckoning us all, so another queue formed and the swopping fun began all over again!  I got speaking to a lovley French demo while standing in line and she has asked me to be her penfriend, how wonderful and i am looking forward to hearing from her. I have had some lovely swops from some very talented ladies and will treasure them all - so mega thanks goes to everyone who i  managed to swop with xxxx

My lovley supportive SU Mummy, Julie Kettlewell did a fabby presentation and kept us all thoroughly entertained, she even managed to rope in Chris the cameraman - what a hoot! well done Ma - you did us proud xx
The awards dinner was superb - everyone dressed up in their finery and we had a lovely evening, This is just some of the girls in our team, Me,Jules, Melanie(adopted jem for the weekend) Kate and Lynda.

Day 2 followed with more swopping and we got the chance to do some stamping -  we had received 2 new stamp sets  in our convention bags - wooohooo!  We made four projects - well some did - others were so busy chatting that they took there projects home to complete! Some more fantastic presentations, both Shelli and Pam Morgans demo's were inspiring.  We were also told about next years convention - well we all knew that we would be heading to France as we were in Germany last year and the Uk this year - but oooooohhhh the excitement and the cheers when the venue for next year was announced.........we are off to DISNEYLAND PARIS   for convention next year - so if you to would like to join the fun contact me soon to find out about becoming an SU Demonstrator - you won't regret it!

will catch up soon with more piccies from an amazing weekend

Trendy Trees punch sample tag booklet

Hi been out all day at my sons footie tournament.......and guess what ......no rain -the sun actually shined instead, certainly makes it much more enjoyable not to get soaked!! First game tomorrow at 9am, so he has to be there for 8.15, so another early start!

I was tidying up some bits and found a little box of skateoard stickers and books etc and as I had no use for them was about to bin them when I changed my mind - the little sticker book had plastic coated pages and i had a light bulb moment! The other day i had been wondering what stamps would fit inside some of my SU punches, so i decided to make myself a punch sampler booklet. I split the pages and cut them in half and separated the cover into two pieces. I covered the covers with retired SU d/p and added a stamped trendy tree to the centre of 2 co-ordinating punched scallop circles, I then took all my punches and punched the plastic coated pages with them - i wrote beside each punched hole what the name of the punch was - this allows me to show customers what the punches all punch out like and also allows me to place the sample over text to see what punch fits best. It is kept alltogether with a binding ring and have added some bits of SU ribbon to make it pretty.  Hope you like it x

Trendy Trees

Today it is the turn of tendy trees to have an outing - this is another of the August 2 step stamping offers, another great set at only £10.36 for this month only.Email me on evsline@hotmail.com if you are interested in having this set.

Whisper white base card with layer of retired d/p, used direct to paper technique to colour strip of whisper white card to rose red, attached this to bottom of another layer of d/p, trees stamped with rose red, barely banana and certainly celery ink, edges softened with sponge dauber and certainly celery ink, sentiment from the same stamp set inked in rose red ,pearls added from stash

second card, using the same colours as the card above, chose 2 colours of d/p and the eyelet border punch, I also used the speckle stamp from the  bird on a brach set from yesterday to create background(can't stop using this, as it makes such a subtle background) the sentiment is the second sentiment  stamp from the trendy trees set, pearls added from stash

Off to organise sons footie kit as he has a football tournament this weekend - hope the weather improves as it's very grey here today - whats the betting i will be getting soaked  through for the next 3 days!!!

see you soon

Bird on A branch # 2

Another card using the same products as the previous card, the only added extra was the matt of chocolate chip designer paper.  I brayerds the base card and used a post it note to create the moon, and used the branch to create the  detail at the bottom of the card the sentiment is from the thank you kindly set

Bird on a Branch

Morning everyone -  This is my offering for today -
I have used the versatile Bird on a branch set -its one of the 2 step stamping sets on promotion this month, and at only £11.96 it is super value-

Base card is whisper white folded to create A6 card, this has its edges distressed with a spong dauber using bareyl banana, the little speckle dots in this stamp set is just soooooo useful, makes a great textured background in seconds, have then over stamped  this with the tiny flower cluster around one side edge and the opposite corner.  Smaller panel created by using whisper white and sponging the edges with bashful blue ink to soften the line and again over stamping with the little speckle dots in the same ink, used close tococoa for the branch and so saffron ink for the bird - sentiment also from the same set, stamped in close to cocoa and edged with the same bashful blue ink  as before-gems added from stash

My dear friend

The colours in this card just make me thinkof autumn - tilda coloured with promarkers and copics, MME paper, fabulous large sentiment from SU Occasional greetings set (a real multi use set with a stamp to cover most occasions, let me know if youwould be interested in purchasing it - you won't be disapointed)greeting and flowers stamped on SU dp, brads from stash and corners created with square scalloped punch again from Stampin'Up!

This card fits a fewchallenges too-

YAAAAY! UPS man just been!

You will can tell from the title of this post that it doesn't take much to get me excited!

The lovely man in brown has just been and delivered some more Stampin' Up! goodies, some for me and some for some lovely customers I have--new stamps, ribbon and d/p for me - looks like i may have to go and play....oooh the hardship!.........good thing i prepared dinner earlier in between stalking the delivery man from the window and pretending to tidy up!

Maybe have something to show you later- ta ta for now x

Anyone for cake?

This is one of my all time favourite stamped images - ittranscends all age groupsaswe all like Birthday and most of us all like cake, and he is such a cheeky little chappie

Image has been coloured with copics and cut out with circle nesties, the dp is MME and cut with SU eyelet border punch, and the lovely grosgrain is  SU regal rose and a few faceted gems from my stash - i have a very dear friends Birthday in the next couple of days so this is going to be winging its way to her -

this little cutie fits a few challenges this week:-

In the MOO'd for a swing?

This fabby image just makes me smile every time I use it  - and it is so quick and easy to colour too! The
image  is coloured with promarkers and copics, and die cut with nesties, the edges of which were distressed with SU pretty in pink and bordering blue inks, this blended in too a muted purple which blended in with the d/p i had chosen from my stash.  Oval  label cut with a nellie snellen die and SU grosgrain ribbon threaded through it to add a splash of colour

Animals were the Challenge theme over at cinspirations.#71

Flowers for you

This tilda stamp is such a mutli use stamp -covers sooooo many occasions  - just love her to bits and totally different depending on the d/p and colours you use . This image was coloured with copics, glittery dotty paper from stash, have aded some diamond dust to the roses - this is like crystal glitter - doesn't show up too well on piccie but sure makes the roses shine when the light hits them, sentiment from retired SU sale-a-baration set and some white grosgraon to finish it off

As i have gone Dotty with this card too - it fits in with the challenge over at

Sweet as Sugar

Bright, zingy colours for this little piece of sugar - coloured with promarkers and copics -  swiss dots embossing folder used on base card, olive paper - retired Su d/p and MME orange dotty paper. Used some of the delicious old olive satin ribbon from SU and added some matching prima flowers with little beaded centres .

challenges that this card fit are:-

sugar bowl blog challenge #40-do-it-yourself - great challenge this week as you were to pick your own choice of sketch ( i chose sketch #20) from the gallery(loads to choose from!) and  it was to be a do it yourself style of card

simon says stamps challenge - going dotty - they wanted you to go Dotty - did that with base card and paper

C.R.A.F.T challenge#61 -hot and spicy colours - hope these colours fit the bill
