Penny Black Autumn coloured handbag

This handbag box shaped card was made from a template from a Nivea box which had 3 lip glosses inside -loved the packaging and thought it would make a good gift bag - so drew round it onto cream hammered card and set about making this. Stamped swirl stamp aroung all the edges in sepia ink, coloured PB bear with pastel chalks and a water brush, inked circle with the same sepia ink and added a ribbon and bow. This fitted the bill for a couple of challenges, one over on Docrafts, hosted Robocraft(the lovely Anne)and also for the http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ which was to make something in autumn colours

A little box and a lilac lady

I was asked to be this weeks host over on the docrafts board for this weeks sunday stamping challenge, and this is what i made. a triangular box. (well, this was my second project!!! ahemm!)

My challenge was to use a stamp or stamps that are either new to your collection or stamps that haven't seen the light of day for some time.Any shape of card/box etc but NOT square or rectangular. NO pre- printed backing paper(you can stamp a background to make your own) a sentiment(preferably stamped. I'd like you to only use 2 colours and to use chalks somewhere on your project, you can also use any embellishment of your choice. simple enough.................only i set about making my project and decided to make the card with the lilac/pink lady........quite happy with it, until i uploaded it to the computer and realised, i had been sooooooo naughty, look at the shape.....yes, its a rectangle!!! Bad enough getting it wrong, but, considering i set the challenge, well what can i say.....I feel a bitof a ninny! But the upside is that it fits the bill for http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ challenge this week which is 'so charming' you were to use a charm on your card - so woo hoo this one has a lovely made with love charm attached to the ribbon.

Kate's candy has arrived

As i mentioned previously I was lucky enough to win Kate's candy ........and the post van arrived on Friday afternoon with it! It was like Christmas, i kept opening bits and finding more goodies inside, Kate sent load of stuff, including some beautiful handmade vellum butterflies, which are just so delicate and i won't want to use them, just keep them to look at! Another papertake weekly challenge card 2

Decided to do another 2 cards for this challenge-http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/which was black white and one other colour - so went for blackwhite and yellowfor this one. Used Penny Black stamp,, matted and layered with yellow card, edges inked with yellow ink, sentiment from SU Harmony set, inked and matted and layered with yellow too, added a little yellow bow to finish.

Gone Stepper daft!

Needed a few step cards for our class demo, so decided to add them here - really easy to do and great that you can change the size and orientation of the step.

Prisma pencil Tilda -since getting into pormarkrs and copics,my poor prisma pencils have been a little neglected - so decided to use them for a change to colour tilda

Snowy Christmas

Managed to get my mojo up and running again and decided to do some challenges to keep it going! My Snowy Christmas card fits the bill for 3 of my favourite challenge blogs.
1. Truly Scrumptious -http://trulyscrumptiouschallenges.blogspot.com/ it was a sketch this week that we had to follow and the little extra was doodling - have folloowed the sketch and doodle dots and dashes along the border of the blackcard.

2. Papertake Weekly -http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/ this weeks challenge was colours - you were to use black, white and one other colour -I have gone for black, white and red. I have used a black square card for the base, plain white card which i have stamped with black snowflakes(studio g clear stamps - only 99p - sentiment from them too!),have matted wth red and white forever friends paper, have dry embossed around my stamped image, colouredPenny Black Snowy with promarkers, added red papermania gems and doodled in white ink around the edges of the black card. Andd a little glitter added -wouldn't be Christmas withour glitter!

3. A spoon ful of Sugar #71 -http://aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/ this weeks remit for the challenge was 'Christmas' so luckily enough - this fits the bill for over there too xx

Crafty club retirement card

One of the lovley ladies who attends our craft class is retired from her work as a GP practice nurse a couple of weeks ago,so we thought we would give her a card to celebrate her retirement- just think all those extra hours for card making now!! (Sods law though - we had the card all ready and a lovley orchid for her,and she couldn't make it to class! - she did get them the following day) I chose to make a step card for her from the club and used lovely delicate aqua colours and handmade my own roses. This was then the theme for our next class, step cards and paper roses. Have heard since, she was delighted with bothe her card and flowers.......another job done then!
