This week's challenge is pretty much exactly as theh title states, over at http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ they' d like you to make a Christmas card in July

5 Cards I made at Crafty Devils Meet

Between catching up with everyone and getting all the gossip, i also manged to make 5 cards at the weekend meet, Sara also managed to take Shell and I too a lovely wee craft shop on the Sunday for a quick look, she mentioned that they sold Whiff of Joy stamps and Sarah kay stamps and Shell and I were in Sara's car in double quick time, before she could change her mind! We all bought some and the shop owner was soon smiling as she had just rung through a £100+ in her till after our quick little visit!

Crafty Devils Meet @ Warrington

On Saturday Patsi and Sara's challenge was a small kit, in it we had a piece of d/s patterned paper, a piece of whitewash card stock, 2 buttons, 2 brads and 2 eyelets, we could make what we liked, we were also allowed to add anything to our kit, but we had to use everything that was in it. I decided to make a small pizza box, i used all my bits(had to change the colour of one of my buttons with permanent pen tho') We were given 1 hour to complete the challenge - it was great to see what everyone came up with, all different and fab.
Gave the girls the instructions for the little box and one of the girls Jen, went on and made a lovely pizza box of her own.

SUNDAYS CHALLENGE - Set By the lovely Shell

Shell's challenge was to decorate/alter a container, we had a lucky dip in a big bag for a container, there were a few different shapes and sizes. I picked out a washing soap tablet box. We were given an hour to complete the task . I covered mine with Claire curd 12 x 12 paper and added a pale turqouise ribbon. I stamped and coloured a popcorn bear image and coloured with promarkers and copics, i layered it onto silver Mirri card and added to box with foam pads, added a large fabric flower with a metal rimmed sentiment for its centre. the top was decorated to match with the same paper, gems added around edge and the word images cut out with my sidekick and sizzlits alphabet, bug in a rug - letters inked to match. really enjoyed this challenge and it's great to have something useful to use at the end of it. thanks Shell x

Crafty Devils Meet at Warrington

took myself and my mum off to meet up with the girls at the Crafty devils craft meet at Warrington last weekend. We had a ball, met up with Saz on the Friday night and spent a couple of hours at the pub with her and her mum and her friend - thanks saz for making us feel so welcome.

Met up with the whole gang again on Saturday morning for a day of craft fun and challenges - loved it! It was great to meet up with everyone again - i had met them all at a craft retreat in Blackpool in January of this year, this was arranged by Patsi and Helen and was with other crafters from the Docrafts forum - many of whom i now count as good friends. Will pop on tomorrow and post piccies of what we got up to and what we managed to make! c ya soon xx
